Photography....

I feel that my interest in photography began when I was much younger. One of my passions and hobbies is photography. I will often include images on here that I have taken on various vacations or outside adventures I have been on. I have somewhat in a small way always had something inside of me that enjoyed using a camera. I remember being a teenager or even younger than that during a field trip in school to a local Medieval Times event. I was the only one there among my classmates with a big camera hanging around my neck which sadly often were met with pointing and ridicule from classmates who thought it was dorky to have such a big camera. While I did not really care or know how to use it I still took pictures the best I could at the time. Many years later when I was able to buy my own camera and equipment I chose to do it and I got hooked again on it. I find my most passion with the images I take our those of nature scenes. Anything to do with the land, mountains, animals, water, forests etc. Very seldom will you find my images to include people. I also feel and find that I lack often the support needed to make it a more of a full time interest or hobby. By that I mean that if I were to share with my other half my desire to buy a new lens or new camera to expand my skills in photography, I seldom get the push to just do it. It is usually met with resistance such as how much will it cost, etc. I am far from anyone who makes images that others would buy, but I really wish that was the case even if it was just a side hustle. I am still using a Canon t7 which by today's standards is like using an iPhone 6.

  1. think there are two obvious things I could comment on here.
    1. To take a saleable picture you don’t need the best up-to-date equipment. People make money selling pictures taken on their phone.
I think it’s more about having an eye for a good shot.
When I started making jewellery I was my harshest critic. I remember saying to my husband one day. No one will ever buy my pieces. His words were. For every piece of art created its owner will find it.
    2. There are so many different ways to sell your images. With modern technology the opportunities are many. It just takes patience and perseverance. And who defines what format. If you wanted a side hustle. Set up an Etsy shop or other in line selling platform. Creat different items with your images. You can add them to T-shirts. Set of coasters, mugs, greetings cards…so many options . Why limit yourself to to just a picture sale
